Trims

You can buy the F-150 in six trims: The XL, the XLT, the Lariat, the Platinum, and the Limited. All trims come standard with a two-wheel drive, but you can take the upgrade option to get the four-wheel drive. The pickup truck comes standard with a 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 or 5.0-litre V8.

The Ram 1500 can be bought in eight trims: You can get the Tradesman or the Tradesman HFE. You may also be interested in the Big Horn, the Rebel, or the Laramie trim. Upper trims include the TRX, the Limited, and the Longhorn. This pickup comes standard with a 3.6-litre V6 and 5.7-litre V8, depending on which trim you choose. The mighty TRX has a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 powertrain.

Performance

Performance

The standard F-150’s engines can produce 250 to 430 horsepower and 265 to 570 lb-ft of torque, depending on what trim you buy. You can anticipate getting 8 to 10.6 km/L in combined driving. If you need more speed in your bonnet, the PowerBoost hybrid engine will give you that, plus the added advantage of saving fuel.

The Ram’s engines can produce 260 horsepower to 480 lb-ft of torque. The TRX supercharged engine has a massive output of 720 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The combined economy on fuel ranges from 5.10 to 11 km/L.

Technology and Safety

The 2021 Ford F-150 comes standard with an eight-inch Sync 4 infotainment centre, smartphone integration, and USB ports. This pickup truck also has driver aids. You get Ford’s Co-Pilot 360 as standard in the XL trim, a braking emergency system, a pedestrian detection system, and a forward collision system. You can upgrade to get more driver aids, like installing Ford’s BlueCruise technology. This enables hands-free Level two driving.

The Big Horn and Tradesman come standard with a five-inch infotainment display and Bluetooth integration. All other safety features are optional upgrades depending on what trim you buy. The higher-up trim levels have safety features like the blind-spot monitoring system, automatic high beams, and adaptive cruise control.
